Welcome to Jabu’s Jungle – a delightful EDC animation aimed at kids between the ages of 4 and 7. The series follows the adventures of Jabu, a nine year old boy and his Magic Talking Drum. Jabu explores the Jungle and helps animals in need. Along the way he finds friends who help on his adventures as well as having to overcome the tricks and pranks of naughty Van the Vulture.

Set to a vibrant afro pop soundtrack and featuring a variety of different animals, Jabu’s Jungle has a unique African look and feel and introduces children to the wonders of Africa’s animals and exotic locations.

S1 E1

Jabu discovers a Magic Talking Drum. Talking Drum asks Jabu to help a baby Impala find its mummy. Along the way, Jabu meets an AntEater who uses his superpowers, a long tongue and great nose, to help Jabu out.

S1 E2

Talking Drum tells Jabu they need to removes a rock from a path in the Jungle. Along the way, Jabu meets a Leopard who uses his strength to help out. Leopard likes sleeping in trees so Jabu has to use his drum to keep Leopard motivated.

S1 E3

Talking Drum enlists Jabu’s help to clean up a load of trash that has been dumped in the jungle. Jabu sets off and comes a cross a friendly Warthog, who uses his digging skills to help Jabu.

S1 E4

Talking Drum asks Jabu to help a hopeoe chick get back into it’s nest. Jabu needs help and fortunately for him, he comes a cross a Baboon who has great climbing skills and strong arms.

S1 E5

This time Jabu must help sort out some pollution in a river. Jabu sets off and luckily comes across a Bush Baby, who’se night vision is going to come in handy.

S1 E6

Talking Drum asks Jabu to find a lost baby Zebra. Jabu sets out and finds an unlikely ally in a clever python who is good at climbing and going down holes.

S1 E7

Jabu must rescue a monkey caught in a trap. This time Jabu finds a happy Impala to help him on his quest. Good thing too, because Jabu’s going to need someone who can really jump high!

S1 E8

Talking Drum tells Jabu he needs to fix the broken bridge across the canyon in the jungle. Luckily jabu finds a helper in a tall Giraffe.

S1 E9

Talking Drum suggests Jabu go and help out because there’s a bushbuck trapped on a log in a river. Jabu sets out to find the bushbuck and enlists the help of a happy hippo who’s an awesome swimmer.

S1 E10

Talking drum asks Jabu to rescue a duiker which has fallen into a pit. Jabu finds a cheerful Hyena who can help him in his quest.

S1 E11

Talking Drum tells Jabu to put out a fire that is threatening the jungle. Jabu sets off and luckily comes across an Elephant who has a long trunk.

S1 E12

Jabu must go and rescue an Eland who’s foot has been cut by broken glass. Jabu sets off and comes across a brave Buffalo who helps him on his mission. Eland cut by broken glass

Jabu needs to rescue a Hornbill caught in a plastic bag. Jabu enlists the help of an African Painted Dog to help find the bird.

Three baby warthogs have been separated from their mom and Jabu finds help in the form of an athletic and acrobatic Gorilla.

Meet the leather tank unit, a military machine with a bullet proof hide and armour piercing horns. Rhino is in the army and likes order and discipline.

Four little baby Turico’s have been blown from their nest but Jabu meets a fun-loving Leguvaan who has all the superpowers needed to find the chicks.

There is a water hole that is leaking so all the animals and thirsty. Jabu finds a fitness-fanatic cheetah and they find a speedy solution to save the day.

Jabu finds a Wildebeest with no sense of direction who has lost her herd. They head off on a fun filled adventure and discover Wildebeest has some surprising superpowers.

Meet the agile, furry Lemur who loves to shuffle and dance around the jungle. He helps a beautiful bird, the Narina Trogon, find her three eggs that she has lost.

If Jabu can get his easy-going Pangolin friend to forget about eating ants, then there is a chance that they can help repair a bridge.

Africa’s toughest little animal with a couldn’t-care-less attitude is just the friend Jabu needs to set free a poor warthog caught in a trap – Honey Badger to the rescue!

S2 E13

This prickly Porcupine just wants to give everyone a hug with possibly painful results. But, she has other superpowers and she hates rubbish and litter, so is the perfect partner to help clean up the jungle.

S3 E1

Jabu entertains himself by making a wire car. He is playing happily with in when Talking Drum tells him that the windmill in the savanna has fallen down. This means the animals can’t get water – so Jabu sets off to go and fix it. Luckily he meets a happy lion who is strong and helpful.

S3 E2

Jabu is having fantastic fun playing marbles when Talking Drum interrupts him. Unfortunately a strong wind has blown litter all over the jungle. So Jabu and Talking Durm set off to go and clean up the mess. On the way they meet a clever Genet cat who has all the superpowers they need to sort it out.

S3 E3

Jabu makes a brilliant vehicle using an old bicycle and a broken shopping trolley. He and Little Puppy are playing and having fun when Talking Drum tells them about some Monkeys who are very hungry. Jabu goes to help out and he finds a kind Ground Hornbill who helps crack coconuts and feed the monkeys.

S3 E4

Jabu is practicing his soccer skill, perfecting the banana kick when he finds out that there is a little monkey that has been trapped in a thick thornbush. Jabu and Talking Drum set off to rescue the little monkey and luckily they find a tortoise who has superpowers they will need to complete the mission.

S3 E5

Jabu has fun making a one-man band using an old vuvuzela and a washtub. His music is interrupted by Talking Drum who tells him that a baby rock kestrel has fallen out of its nest and needs rescuing from a ledge. Jabu finds a fun loving rugby mad Springbok who helps find the kestrel and rescue him.

S3 E6

Jabu goes fishing with unexpected results. His line gets caught on a hippos tail and he ends up water skiing! After all the excitement, Jabu finds out that there is a poor barn owl that can’t get any sleep. Jabu sets off to the rescue and luckily he comes across an Aardwolf with superpowers that are going be very useful.

S3 E7

Jabu is playing around with an old microphone pretending to be a DJ when Talking Drum tells him that a naught monkey has scattered marbles all over the jungle. Jabu decides to go and clear up the marbles but he will need some help. Fortunately for him he meets a funny little Dassie who has the skills needed to get the job done.

S3 E8

Jabu cleverly makes a pogo stick and is having a great time hopping around. But his fun is interrupted by the news that a mamma chicken has lost her chicks. Jabu runs off to go and help. He meets a Jackal who loves to run and is very fast – superpowers that are going to be very helpful.

S3 E9

Jabu makes a swing bed and is enjoying a quiet snooze when he is interrupted by Talking Drum. A little Dung Beetle has been washed into the river and needs rescuing. Jabu sets off to find the beetle and comes across a happy singing otter who turns out to be just right animal to help complete the mission.

S3 E10

Jabu has fun making a swing ball. He plays with it until Little Puppy steals the ball. Never mind, Talking Drum has a much more important job to do, The rains have washed away a bridge leaving mamma mouse on the opposite side of the river to her babies. Jabu finds a clever Fish Eagle who is able to help get the babies back to their mamma.

S3 E11

Jabu finds a long sheet of plastic and makes a slip and slide. His splashing and sliding is interrupted by Talking Drum with the news that a family of dassies has been trapped by a rockfall. This will need somebody brave and strong to help rescue them. Who better than a big friendly crocodile!

S3 E12

Jabu makes a basketball hoop and is having a great time playing basketball. Talking Drum tells him that there has been a landslide and one of the paths is blocked. Jabu goes into the jungle to see if he can fix the problem. But this will need someone who is big and very strong. Luckily Eland arrives to save the day.

S3 E13

Jabu finds an old car tyre and a plank and makes himself a see saw. He is having fun playing on the see saw when Talking Drum tells him that a little bush baby is lost in the jungle. Jabu runs off to go and help. Along the way he meets Zebra a fast and friendly animal with lots of superpowers that are going to be very useful.

S4 E1

It’s a windy day in Jabu’s world. Jabu and Little Puppy make an anemometer to count the wind speed until they hear Djembe music from the background. Talking Drum tells Jabu about a fishing owl who has a foot stuck under a branch on an island. Jabu and Drum set off on a rescue mission and meets up with the trickster African Hare who is excited to be part of the team.

S4 E2

Jabu and Puppy play king and dragon until Talking Drum interrupts them and tells Jabu about the little frog that’s lost in the Drakensberg mountains. Jabu and Drum set off to help the little frog and luckily they meet up with a very fast Jackal Buzzard … who thinks he’s a movie star and has superpowers to help them out.

S4 E3

It’s a rainy day and Jabu decide to make music with water bottles when Talking Drum interrupts him to tell him about the young Fruit Bat that got her wings caught in a piece of net. Jabu and Drum set off to go and untangle the Fruit Bat and meet up with a secret agent Civet who has the secret pathway to the young Fruit Bat.

S4 E4

Jabu makes a ring game and him and Puppy enjoy throwing the ring in the tube till they hear Talking Drum’s music in the background. Jabu gets Drum and she tells him about an African Pigmy Mouse that is lost in a sandstorm far from his family. Jabu and Drum set off and meet up with a hippy Kori Bustard who will help with the mission.

S4 E5

Jabu and Puppy make a bowling alley and have fun bowling until Talking Drum interrupts them. Talking Drum tells Jabu about the Turtle that’s trapped in some plastic in the ocean. Jabu and Drum go on to a rescue mission and meet up with a bouncing, energetic beautiful Dolphin who wants to help Turtle and clean up the ocean.

S4 E6

Jabu is having fun playing elephant ball game until the stocking comes off his head. Jabu gets Talking Drum and she start to tell him about the old Landrover that someone left in the middle of the jungle and its blocking the pathway So they set off to the jungle. On their way they meet up with the big, friendly, strong Kudu who is willing to help move the Landrover.

S4 E7

Jabu is playing golf and puppy steals his ball. Jabu hears Talking Drum’s music from the house and goes to get her. Talking Drum tell Jabu about the little Sunbirds who were blown out of their nest - someone must return them to their mummy. So Jabu and Talking Drum go to the jungle and meet up with an eccentric old Crowned Crane who is happy to help them get the little Sunbirds back safe to their mom.

S4 E8

Jabu makes a giant catapult and enjoys playing until he falls down. But his fun its interrupted by news that there is a problem on the Sand River, someone filled the Elephants’ Well with trash and now they can’t get water. Jabu runs off to go and help. He meets a Sand Cat who thinks she’s a Lion and is happy to help and show Jabu and Drum around the desert.

S4 E9

It’s a cloudy day in Jabu’s world and he finds puppy curled up under the wood stack so he decide to build him a dog kennel with wood pallets he found next to the shack.But Talking Drum tells Jabu the news that he has to help three Chameleons move from their. Jabu sets off and meets up with Colobus Monkey who is really good with karate and has superpowers which can help move the Chameleons fast.

S4 E10

Jabu and puppy builds a small plane and have fun flying it around until it end up in the. Talking Drum interrupts the fun to tell them that rubbish has been dumped in the Flamingo lake and the Flamingos can’t feed. Drum and Jabu go on a mission and finds Savannah Monitor who loves African food and is glad to help out.

S4 E11

Jabu decides to make drum kit and play some funky music, but unfortunately his drums fall apart. Talking Drums tells him about the telephone wires that blew down in the storm last night. Jabu goes to the Jungle to see if he can fix them but he need someone strong to help. Luckily Sable comes to save the day with her beautiful curved horns and her super powers.

S4 E12

Jabu and puppy pick up sticks and rope to make a monkey bars and pretend to cross the river full of crocodiles. Talking Drum tells Jabu about a baby python that tied himself into a knot and needs their help. They run off to the jungle and meet with a talkative Banded Mongoose who is excited to help out.

S4 E13

It’s a hot day in Jabu’s world, and puppy needs something to cool down so they use balloons full of water to get wet. Talking Drum calls to tell Jabu about the horrible snares all over the jungle and they must get them before the animals get hurt .Jabu sets on thins challenge and luckily they meet little tiny Antelope “Dik Dik” a fun sized, amazing dancer and wants to join in this mission.
